Your support is important to our work at Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange. There are many ways you can contribute towards our causes, and every little bit that you commit goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission. As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, AFICE is dedicated to fostering international understanding through basic human contact at the family level. We believe that by making personal contacts, our students and families are promoting much more than a single student exchange. Because every student and every family comes into contact with a multitude of other people, and the connections made through these human interactions are the basis for deep and ongoing relationships. And when there are personal relationships, it becomes far more possible for diverse human cultures to understand and accept each other.
With understanding comes tolerance, acceptance, and, yes, peace.
Unfortunately, AFICE's main source of income is the fees we charge to our student participants. Student fees fund everything we do -- supervision of students, advertising, communications, fees paid to the US Government, State agencies, and some local school districts. Not to mention keeping the lights on at our small national office.
Your contribution will enable AFICE to keep the fees we charge to our students at a relatively affordable level, to train new field staff, and to expand our advertising to reach new potential families. In short, you will be helping to promote international understanding.
